Motorhome Hire Winter Sun Package- At this time of year I think that most of us are sorry that the summer is over and all too aware of the nights getting darker earlier, and the mornings staying darker for longer. The weather changing from warm summer days to cooler autumn days. Autumn is undoubtedly a beautiful season, with the changing colours and leaves falling, but after autumn comes winter. Brrr! Yet wouldn’t it be lovely to go to warmer climes for an extended stay over the Winter time?

Motorhome in Spain

Motorhome Hire Winter Sun Package- So, why are Spain and Portugal so popular for spending the winter?

Researching this for ourselves whilst on holiday in Altea, Spain three years ago. We were there right until almost the end of the English school summer holidays. We were interested to find that our campsite was only around a quarter full when we arrived, expecting August to be very busy. There were, at that point no other British caravans or motorhomes on the site. We got chatting to some British people who lived there in static caravans and they said that the winter on the site gets busier with caravans and motorhomes that go there to escape the British winter. They said that most days it is warm enough to wear shorts and t shirt during the day time. They highly recommended winter in Spain.

When considering Portugal you may want to look at the link below to see whether you like the sound of it.
