Dartmouth & Glorious Devon

Dartmouth & Glorious Devon Motorhome Holiday

Dartmouth is a beautiful town, the way it tumbles down the hill, with the Britannia Royal Naval College overlooking the harbour, is very aesthetically pleasing. Just walking around the narrow streets, with staircases up to different levels, is interesting. It feels untouched by time, which is very appealing.

Devon is a stunning county of great contrasts, with two beautiful coastlines, two National Parks and five official Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There’s so much to visit and do, too: family attractions, historic buildings, award-winning places to eat, thrilling outdoor activities, and exciting events happening all year round.

For beaches, Devon can’t be beaten. Sandy family-friendly beaches, tiny pebbled coves, wild and windswept bays with stunning views, Devon has them all, both north and south. Also glorious green countryside in abundance, plus rolling hills, bountiful farmland and craggy moorland.

For family days out Devon offers Woodlands, Woodlands Family Theme Park is the largest family theme park in Devon, a fun filled family day out for everyone. From little children to adults there’s something for anyone and everyone! With one of the largest and best indoor play areas in the South West, amazing water rides, a zoo farm and much more, there’s fun to be had rain or shine. There is a campsite there too.

Or Paignton Zoo, there you will find over 2000 animals across eighty acres, it is one of Devon’s most exciting visitor attractions. You can get up close to some of the animal wonders of the world across specially designed habitats from the Savannah to the wetlands and the tropical forest.

If golf is your passion you will enjoy visiting Dartmouth Golf & Country Club, a beautiful course in a stunning location, the spa is lovely there too if that’s your preference.

Devon offers something special for everyone.
