This motorhome tour will take you to Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy renowned for its crystal-clear waters.
Discover Lake Garda, Venice & Verona by Motorhome
Sirmione sits on the southern shore dominated by the Rocca Scaligera. This is a 13th century preserved castle that overlooks the lake. It even has its own personal walled dock! There is also the nearby Grotte di Catullo, an archaeological site of a Roman villa. Everywhere you look round this lake is beautiful. It’s the perfect to explore with your family, whether by foot, boat or bicycle.
You will also visit Verona on this trip. This city is famous for being the setting of Romeo and Juliet and The Two Gentleman of Verona. These are both fantastic plays by Shakespeare. It is a maze of pretty piazzas and tiny lanes of Renaissance romance. At its centre lies a 1st century amphitheatre, Arena di Verona. This is a preserved arena that is still used to this day for various operas and festivals. It has unique churches and bridges (such as the Museo di Castlevecchio). You can also experience delightful food and wine from the nearby Veneto Hinterland.
As well as Lake Garda and Verona, you will also get the chance to explore the world’s most famous canals in Venice. We recommend a gondola ride through the city’s waterways. Visit Piazza San Marco, the famous square of St Mark, as well as the great cathedral of St Mark. There is also the Rialto Bridge and some of the best Italian food and wine in the world to sample.
