This tour takes you to the picturesque beaches and countryside of Southern France. Your first stop is Monaco, the world’s second smallest country (behind the Vatican).
Discover the French Riviera by Motorhome
It is a magnet for billionaires who seek the ports tax incentives and lifestyle. It is also famous for its annual Formula 1 Grand Prix held since 1929. This is unusual in the sense that it takes place on public roads. Nice is the unofficial capital of the Côte d’Azur and always a highlight of this tour. It has fabulous markets, stunning architecture and a magical old town.
Cannes, famous for its film festival, is a relaxing getaway where visitors can do as they please. You can stroll along the beach and see all the Ferraris and yachts, explore the shops or relax and read a book. It is pure bliss. Along the coast from Cannes is St-Raphaël which is the perfect base for exploring the nearby Esterel. It is also much cheaper than Cannes. Frejus is also a short drive away from St-Raphaël. Once an important roman site, it is a small town with much to offer, from Roman ruins to a fabulous Gothic cathedral.
Your next stop is St-Tropez, the most famous resort in Europe. The peninsula has great views across the Golfe de St-Tropez to the Maures Mountains. As you walk around the marina, with its million-euro yachts anchored it is hard to not get lost in the resorts charm. In the summer, St-Tropez is busy with everyone looking for a taste of the culture, food and nightlife. Your final stop on this tour is Port Grimaud, which sits on the edge of the Golfe de St-Tropez.
