You will travel through the Neckar valley, Hohenlohe Plateau, Franconian Heights and Fichtelgebirge. Your tour starts in Mannheim in Germany. It will take you all the way to Prague in the Czech Republic and lead you through an array of scenery. This includes medieval towns and fairy-tale castles transporting you back in time. You will notice a dramatic change in scenery as you travel from North to South. You will travel through valleys, agricultural land and forests to dramatic mountainous terrain.
This romantic journey offers plenty of medieval masterpieces, architecture and hospitality. You can see period costume performances and festivals throughout the year. These festivals offer unsurpassed medieval markets and visits to secluded castle courtyards. You can feast at huge banquets all within ancient castle walls. There is never a bad time to take the castle road!

You will head to Europe via the Eurotunnel or ferry and head towards Mannheim, Germany. From Mannheim, you will travel to Wurzburg and on to Rothenburg and Dinkelsbuhl. You will then drive to Weikersheim. From here you will go to Munich via Augsburg, Landsberg am Lech, Fussen and Hohenschwangau. From Hohenschwangau you will head back home.
