The Festival of Power is an action-packed weekend of family Drag Racing entertainment including Top Fuel Dragsters, Nitro Funny Cars, Jet Cars and National Drag Racing. There are also powerful machines off track including Monster Trucks, Stunt Displays and more.
Santa Pod Truxx Factor, Northampton May 2018
The Truxx Factor Truck Show is an established family friendly weekend festival. There are lots of things constantly going on for 48hrs of trucking action so where better to bring this established event than the famous Santa Pod tarmac where nitro fuelled monsters cover the quarter mile distance in the blink of an eye.
Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix, Barcelona 13 May 2018
Inaugurated two weeks before its first Formula 1 Grand Prix in September 1991, the Catalunya circuit near Barcelona has proved to be one of the best-designed circuits of the recent era. It is well-liked by most drivers and has therefore hosted the Spanish Grand Prix ever since. This fantastic circuit never fails to disappoint. Sell-out crowds and being on the doorstep of one of Europe’s great cultural cities helps to make it a favourite on the F1 calendar.
French Open, Paris 27 May – 10 June 2018
The French Open (known also as the Tournoi de Roland-Garros) is one of the four Grand Slam Tennis events. This French tournament has been held since 1891 for men and 1897 for women, though up until 1925 entry to the event was restricted to members of French clubs. The tournament became an Open Championship in 1968, though it was closed to contract professionals in 1972.

Round 1 of the FIA/FIM European Championships is one of Santa Pod’s most prestigious Drag Race meetings. This hugely popular, televised extravaganza features over 200 teams and 17 classes of cars and bikes including the sports F1 class – 8000bhp Top Fuel Dragsters accelerating 0-100mph in less than 1 second, making this event unrivalled for both the quality and quantity of racing. Located in the South of France at the Circuit Automobile Paul Ricard, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de France 2018 will be returning after a 10-year stint off the Formula 1 calendar. The circuit last hosted a round of the F1 French Grand Prix in 1990!

Austria Formula 1 Grand Prix, Spielberg 1 July 2018
The Austrian Grand Prix is steeped in over 60 years of history. In the 1950’s local racing enthusiasts created an L shaped circuit in the town of Zelweg, the track was outlined using cones and hay-bales. In 1958 the track witnessed its First International race. However, it wasn’t until the 1970’s when the first Formula One race was held in Austria. The current track was opened in 2011 and the new owners introduced the redeveloped and rebranded, Red Bull Ring. The impressive Red Bull Ring set in the spectacular Austrian countryside is a thrilling 9 corner circuit, consisting of 7 right-hand and 2 left-hand turns.

The Wimbledon Championships, officially called “The Lawn Tennis Championships”, is the oldest and most prestigious event in the sport of tennis. It is held annually at the All England Club in Wimbledon, a suburb of London, in June or July every year. The tournament starts 6 weeks before the first Monday in August and lasts for two weeks subject to extensions for rain.

Tour de France 7 – 29 July 2018
The Tour de France (French for “Tour of France”), is often referred to as La Grande Boucle, Le Tour or The Tour. The Tour de France is the world’s most high profile bicycle race. It is a very demanding event, held for three weeks every July and is comprised of approximately 20 professional teams of nine riders per team. The competitors race a total distance of approximately 3,600 km (2,235 miles) traveling through France and surrounding countries.

British Open, Carnoustie 15-22 July 2018
The British Open’s official title is the Open Championship. However, it is referred to as the British Open to distinguish it from the US Open. The British Open is the oldest of the four Majors, dating back to the 1860s. The tournament is held in July each year.
Formula 1 German Grand Prix, Hockenheim 22 July 2018
The first F1 race on the Hockenheimring circuit was held in 1970. The circuit lacked character; it was basically a high-speed race through the forest, interrupted slightly by three chicanes and was very hard on engines. The race returned to Hockenheim in 1977, in response to the drivers not wishing to race at the Nurburgring, The track was modified and the overall length was drastically reduced. For 2002, the circuit’s 70th anniversary, there was a new look and a new name, the “Hockenheimring Baden Wurttemberg”. The popular long straights through the woods are now gone with new parts taking their place.

Cowes Week is the oldest and largest annual sailing regatta in the World and an iconic feature of the British sporting calendar. The event lasts for 8 days combining competitive racing and great fun for the competitors racing and spectators who enjoy a fantastic line up of shore-side entertainment day and night. Visitors can watch the sailing action from the shore or get out onto the water and watch it all from a boat. The famous fireworks take place on the final Friday of the event.

Boomtown Fair is a diverse festival where you can find theatre, fantasy, escapism and camaraderie and non-commercialised musical movements from all corners of the world. There are nine areas of the festival with a different emphasis in each. You may be chilling to some folk music one minute and then dancing to drum and bass in the next!

There are a variety of exhibitions and the sheer scale of the show means that there is always something new to see.
